Of Note

2025 marks the 35th year anniversary of the movie Home Alone.

Sleigh Ride includes instruments representing a horse from a trumpet whinny to a hooves clip-clopping with temple blocks.

You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, originally sung by Thurl Ravenscroft in the 1966 cartoon, received a jazzy update by Jim Carrey in the 2000 movie.

Gruber originally composed Silent Night for guitar. There are rumors that this was because of damage to the church organ, which normally was the accompaniment for church vocal music at the time.

Sleigh Ride was composed during the month of July in 1946 during a heat wave.
